E class estate review

The E Class Estate is available with an impressive lineup of engines – ranging from frugal diesels and a tax-busting plug-in hybri all the way up to fire-breathing, hardcore performance-focused. The E-Class Estate really does feel like a step above its rivals in terms of interior comfort and quality.

It’s like a mini S-Class inside – every surface is covered in soft leather or quality materials, and with loads of sound deadening to make even high-speed journeys a hushed affair. The Mercedes E-Class Estate is a bit pricey to buy, but the E 220d model’s 67.

COeconomy figures are impressive enough. The E 200d model has less power, but returns exactly the.

What is E class estate? Which is better E class or AMG? Is the E-class available in the UK? It’s based on the E-Class saloon, and gets all the same technology inside as well – if that car’s a business suit, then the E-Class is a trenchcoat: still smart, but a whole lot more practical.

The new Mercedes E-Class Estate. A mighty fine, well-engineered thing base predictably, on the new E-Class saloon – sharing its engines, interior, drivetrain and technologies. One can’t sum up the E-Class Estate without mentioning its incredible spaciousness. This is a car that can take the family, all their kit and clobber and still gobble-up a medium-sized antiques fair in the process.

It’s certainly practical enough to make you question why anybody bothers with a premium SUV.

Where the E Class Estate really scores is its high-speed refinement. That ninth gear – most of its rivals have ‘only’ eight – allows the engine to tick away barely audibly at low revs on the. Our E-Class estate may be packed to the panoramic roof with technological baubles, but there’s one option that hasn’t been used a great deal – the Driving Assistance Plus Package.

The E - Class Estate range is far simpler with all the diesels available and currently the entry-level E AMG model, although the gargantuan E variants will join in due course. The E - Class estate in SE trim looks more understated than the more expensive AMG Line version, which combines the equipment of the SE with a deeper spoiler, side skirts and chunky 19-inch alloy. The most practical full-sized Executive estate you can buy is now even better.

Jonathan Crouch checks out the improved version of the tenth generation Mercedes E - Class Estate. As with the E - Class saloon, the Estate offers the latest in Mercedes-Benz technology and quality, with the additional space that estate buyers are looking for.

They were designed to never excite you, for a very long time. The E-Class features the latest version of Mercedes’ adaptive cruise control, which is capable of maintaining a safe distance between you and the car in front right down to a stop. Every Mercedes E - Class is a smooth, quiet cruiser and the E 3e and de are no exception. It is impressive with or without a caravan on tow, and has class -leading luggage space, but can the Mercedes-Benz E - Class justify its price?

The E-class Estate is startlingly expensive, placing it firmly among the other premium station wagons – the BMW Series Touring, the Volvo V9 and the Audi AAvant. But as with all of these. It boasts a huge boot.

The MB E350cdi estate is the most comfortable, spacious and well-equipped car I have ever owned. I also very much like its design, both interior and exterior and I am very impressed by its economy (I have achieved 60mpg on a long steady run and my combined consumption averages out at almost 50mpg). The E - class also offers an estate variant if you need a little extra room.

With 191bhp and 295lb ft of torque at your right foot’s beck and call, we’d go as far as to suggest the E220d is all the E-Class Estate you’ll ever need.

Few cars in any segment successfully blend. Mercedes fans can relax, as the C 3e is still a C- Class at heart, just with a plug-in petrol-electric hybrid powertrain. So the C 3e has the latest curvy exterior design language, and modern interior.

Many people seem to prefer the interior, with lots of shiny black plastic and chrome effect, to that of rivals. Our test car was an Estate.
